Join us on Saturday, Sept. 21st for our virtual Climate Justice Summit and Annual Member Gathering! We will be engaging in conversations centered around shifting our culture from the framework of scarcity to abundance - from injustice to justice - from greed-based economy to a love-based economy. We will also be discussing key questions facing the movement and future of Co-op Power as we go forward.

The gathering is open to anyone interested in energy democracy and social justice. We especially hope Co-op Power Member owners can attend - however if you can't, please participate by voting in the Annual Member Board elections and completing the annual member survey to let us know what's important to you now.

Program

At our gathering, we will hear stories from cooperative leaders across the country about how their communities came together to build community-owned solar despite the difficulties, and how these projects helped create positive change within their communities.

We will offer two workshop sessions on taking part in the just and sustainable energy transition, and developing community energy co-operatives. Each workshop will focus on a specific topic, such as “Mobilizing your Community for a Just Transition,” providing the information, resources, and support for equitable and sustainable community change. This gathering is a great opportunity for us to come together and learn from one another, sharing what we have accomplished and what more can move us towards securing justice and sustainability for everyone.
